Ceradis Crop Protection B.V. develops and markets innovative environmentally friendly solutions for plant nutrition and crop protection. The company was founded in the Netherlands as a spin-off of Wageningen University and still has a close relationship with their research departments. Ceradis products have patented formulations which guarantee optimal activity of the ingredients and excellent handling characteristics for the end-users. Ceradis currently has 4 technology platforms and is working on strengthening these and adding to them. Each platform is covered by one or multiple patents.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supply Chain team is responsible for ensuring an optimal supply chain, in terms of costs, service levels, inventory levels and operational efficacy. Supply Chain liaises with other departments within Ceradis to realize these aims, such as with Sales, Development and Finance. And of course it maintains close relations with external parties such as raw material providers, toll manufacturers and logistics companies.

Your work within the Supply Chain team consists of the global responsibility for the supply chain. Specifically:

• Effectively organize the supply chain to ensure full, timely, cost-effective and high quality delivery
  • Set up full system of tollers (primary and secondary where needed)
  • Set up delivery system including production and stock keeping strategy
  • Ensure contracts and other practices are in place to manage risks and liabilities
• Maintain quality standards, tracking and reporting
• Identify, initiate and drive Supply Chain improvement projects, such as:
  • Adding new toll manufacturers
  • Creating large scale production protocols and pilot trials
  • Cost reduction and/or service improvement
  • Quality level improvement and quality monitoring
• Manage the team and the links with the other functions within Ceradis
• Participate in other projects such as
  • New product development
  • Product registration

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• • Master Degree or ability to operate at that level.
  • Analytical skill set, flexible, ability to interact with any level within organizations
  • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task and work independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; skill in other language(s) such as French, German, Italian, Spanish and/or Mandarin is a plus
  • Experience with scaling up to (pilot) production is a big plus
